ToasterOS Beta 3+: (08/06/07)
The last two month there was developed so much in a short time that I haven't had the time for releasing specially Beta 2.
So we are at Beta 3+. Beta 3 is the last beta, and the plus indicates it is still in development.
In the meantime I build up a new site www.ViennaComputerProducts.com for our new organization Vienna Computer Products.
Because we can't register our company at this time, I had time to make ToasterOS better, to ensure the quality.
ToasterOS now has a setup that's working on every Microsoft Windows Version (from Windows 3.11 up to Windows Vista).
But back to the future, Windows Boot System is currently subscripted to the Works with Windows Vista Logo program - to indicate the great quality of our product.

Nevertheless of Vienna Computer Products and further contracts we are going to make I will continue this 'developer's site', to provide internal technical low level information abourt our doing.
I created a new site for System development, see it at www.osdever.net.tc. So note the "OS development" section is more than outdated.
And by the way I am currently writing my next book 'System development', which will be 300+ pages about low level system development (available at the osdev Website).

I am currently working on Network Boot Support, the structures etc. are created already - only the Network Boot Core is missing.
When Network Boot is finished, I will make the Timer better for any further development.
We'll need the timer for example when handling with animated graphics, or for a asynchronus floppy-bootable check (floppies are slow, they need seconds for spin up and read).

ToasterOS Beta 2 Test Version 2: (06/29/07)
Beta 2 pre[view] was released.
New features are better support for graphic modes, drives and other enhancements (see section ToasterOS, Releases).
The next Version, Beta 2 will be finished next week. This is only an inter-build.

ToasterOS Beta 2 Test Version 2: (06/04/07)
Beta 2 Test Version, which works now under Real PCs was released.
The new features are things like a new alternative Text User Interface, a Multi-Desktop system and a now free-scalable GUI supporting resolutions up to 2048x1536.
You can download the free one-click emulation package to see how it works.

It was really hard work, but it's cool work. And now it works. So you can use it now if you have a free partition.
The next step is to let it boot "automatically" by creating a MBR version, and not a standalone as it's the current case.

New ToasterOS Version: (05/12/07)
I released Beta 2 pre test version 1.
The main improvements are the better error management.
You can test it now on real PCs, and I'll include your reports & reviews into the further development.
The next version is Beta 2 pre (Test Version 2), which _should_ run on Real PCs, so there's a lot of compatibility work and testing to do.

General Updates: (04/22/07)
The ToasterOS section was general updated.
You can download now the latest working version of the best Boot Management Solution, ever!
See the future today, and download the latest beta!

New Features: (04/06/07)
Features like RAM Drive, File Drive and Directory Drive will be finished today.
The next things I'll do is to create functions to let do the ToasterOS the job it should - work as a bootmanager solution.
For some internal tests I'll enable displaying Icons (like the "Computer" Icon) on the desktop, and will the finish the work to display characters.

Back to the never ending development: (03/17/07)
Back and in intensive development!
I returned to my roots, to the ToasterOS of my lovely year 2005.
I stopped beginning 2007 - because I didn't find some mouse error (but I encircled it, and know now why the Mouse Handle won't be called - PIC won't give further the IRQ)
In the mean time I created a new operating system developer's site - www.osdever.net.tc.

But now I'm going to develop the ToasterOS further, to implement all features I had to want.
Of course on my different sites on the internet (refer to my first free.pages.at/t0ast3r or something, to toasteros.at.tt and others) I saw lots of spelling mistakes.
It would be cool to have them darned - but I do not have the time to, and I think everbody can read what I write and now what she/he has to.
(even on this more or less up to date ToasterOS development site there are known spelling mistakes...)

Regardless that, I started again to develop ToasterOS further.
Last week, I make the Image Creation (yeah - creat bootable files with compiling an Assembler file) Sources better, I structured it more.
Now the Image is easier (to understand, to build, the source), and it takes just around 2 MB space (before fix 20 MB...).

Today I finished the feature of using RAM drives (finished all lowlevel functions for drive emulation and finished existing structures) and using Files as emulated drives.
The next step is to create a Emulate Drive function, and to test it.

Next things are to make the Error Reporting API Interface compatible with the Microsoft Windows one.
Too the ATAPI driver have to be finished, I created all structures in the past, but didn't write the functions - because I had to less time.

Well then, there's just one thing to hope, to get the job.

Updated Site: (15.02.07)
The development of the ToasterOS stopped in the beginning of 2007.
As you have to set priorities, I'm currently writing my second book, my first about OS development, and my current one about Assembler.
If I can't find a publisher for the books, I may put them online for public download.
The main site for System development has moved to www.osdeveloper.net.tc.
On this new site you can download documents, tutorials and all things you need for the Operating System development.

ToasterOS Genuine Advantage Code: (04.08.06)
A new package is planned containing the best code of the ToasterOS.
To be sure well commented and without any bugs.
The package will contain useful Real Mode routines, the Drive Manager and other code.

New Wesbite to present ToasterOS Infinite: (28.07.06)
The new Website should present the Toaster Operating System.
The style is the same as of the old one, but now it uses PHP and is more structured.
Currently the first Beta is in development, which should have Cursors and Icons enabled.
The old Website is in the ToasterOS Archive which will added soon to the Website.

Now inofficial the code lines are counted, internal because there is not the whole code counted, causes of the extensive code.
(so its only a proximity value)

Source Lines: 15 000
Destination Lines: proudful 35 000

The ToasterOS Website is finished: (09.02.06)
Now the ToasterOS Website is finished, there won't be any important changes more.
