What's the ToasterOS?

The ToasterOS is a standalone Operating System supposed to work as a Boot Management Solution.
Because of this, it's called ToasterOS Boot Management Solution.
It's developed by Peter Kleissner, since 3rd quarter 2005.

Is the ToasterOS Open Source or Freeware?

ToasterOS is Shared Source.
That means source code is shared where it makes sense to.
You can find up-to-date Source Code on the Vienna Computer Products website.
You can download free packages to emulate ToasterOS as Windows application.
